We’re beyond delighted to announce that the final day of Future Days will be closed by long time faves Parquet Courts. They’re one of the finest live bands in the world and their latest album is hands down one of our favourites of the year.
It began in 2011 with a cassette-only album American Specialties. Since then Parquet Courts haven’t looked back. Their 2012 record Light Up Gold put them on the map and since then a prolific run of critically-acclaimed albums on What’s
Your Rupture and Rough Trade have established them as one of the era’s defining US groups. As they’ve progressed, they’ve expanded and experimented with their sound, working with rapper Bun B on 2016’s Captive Of The Sun, collaborating with Italian producer Daniele Luppi and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs ’Karen O on 2017’s Milano record and exploring funk and new wave on this year’s stand-out, Danger Mouse-produced album Wide Awake!
